Thanasis Papakonstantinou
Thanasis Papakonstantinou is one of the most significant and influential artists in Greece. In the past 20 years he has released a large number of important albums, following them up with memorable live shows such as the ones with the group "Laikedelika". He returns to Cyprus after two years to perform at Fengaros with the exceptional Matoula Zamani and a 7-piece band, to play a long show based on his entire discography with a renewed perspective, to freshen up the mood created by the depressing current events.

TheZillaProject
The
Zilla Project will be adding to Fengaros’ musical diversity, kicking off
the first day of the festival with its own version of the blues. "Big Mo" a.k.a. Emmanuel Vourakis
on vocals and electric guitars, Nikolas "Honeyman" Melis
on the keys, Omiros Andreou "Bagman"
on bass and Stefanos "PP"
Meletiouon
the drums are considered as the best blues band in Cyprus. They deliver
electrified versions of well-known blues classics as well as their
original compositions in an energetic and super charged 2-hour set.
Michalis & Petros Kouloumis
Michalis Kouloumis (violin), Petros Kouloumis (lute, voice) and Euripides Dikaios (percussion), will appear on the first day of the festival. In the past
few years they have been established as one of the best traditional
Cypriot music groups. Their uplifting performances always combine
spontaneity and tasteful, crafty musicianship.
TheLadderman
The
Ladderman will appear on the main stage on the second day of the
festival. They play stoner / alt. rock and they have already gained a
following, especially in Larnaka, which is where they are from. They
were founded in 2011 and they consist of Andreas Matheou (guitar / vocals), Rolandis Lazides (guitar), Iacovos Stylianides (drums) and Stephanos Nicolaou (bass). The main ingredient of their music is the need for authentic
creativity, based on their taste and not on a formula of general
acceptance. At Fengaros they will perform music from their first demos,
and new unreleased material.
Nebadrud
The band with the enigmatic name “Nebadrud” will appear on the second night of this year’s festival on the main stage. The band consists of Alkis Agathokleous (ney), Giannis Koutis (oud, voice), Rodos Panayiotou (drums) and Nicolas Tryphonos (doublebass) with special guest from Crete Zacharias Spyridakis (cretan lyra, voice). The result is a fusion of world music soundscapes, which blend together rhythmically, melodically and harmonically. The band’s music ranges from classical Arabic to modern Western. The vocals lead the instruments or are led by them along the roads of tradition, while improvisation occupies a distinct place both in the quartet’s compositions and in pieces by other composers.Isaac’sCello
This is the band that was to be Louvana Records' first release with "Here's Your Ears"
in
2011. After a mandatory year off for studies and army service, they
return older and wiser to climb the Fengaros stage and play a dynamic
set. The young trio is made up of Zeyn Mroueh (Vocals, Guitars), Jacob Papageorgiou (guitars) and Liam Iacovou (drums), and their music travels from psychedelic to progressive rock enhanced by extended improvisations.
Μerak
Thia incredibly melodic ensemble is made up of Elena Xyda (vocals, lute), Veronica Aloneftou (vocals, sandouri), Maria Constanti (vocals, oud) and Stavroulla Constanti (vocals, ney). Their repertoire is based on music from Smyrna, Instanbul, Thrace, Εpirus and various islands.
PlainHistory
Christos Chadjichristou
a.k.a. Chris & Terry
will
represent Plain History, the improvisatory music collective, playing an
ambient set on the Rooftop during the very early hours of Saturday.
Using analogue synthesizers and a lop station, he will create dreamy
soundscapes to prepare everyone for the next day of the festival.

Once in a lifetime, you’ll experience a pandemic. Once in a blue moon, you’ll have a chance to escape to a secluded island. Once on a red Thursday, as the local saying in Cyprus goes, you’ll be in a situation with a group of complete strangers, fully immersed in the sparks of creation flying forth. On A Red Thursday (9 March) is the product of just such a gathering of musicians from a multitude of backgrounds, journeys, skills and preferences. Their first single, ‘ Until We Meet Again’ , performed by Eurotoire team members Panayi and Jolien marks the beginning of sharing their experiences of stepping outside their comfort zones with the world. Following this first offering is alternative RnB number ‘ So Lonely ’ (3 February) performed by Maris Pihlap. ‘ Figures ’ (25 February) is the final single before the album’s release and sees Raveloe and Tamara van Esch punk out in a commentary on obstacles womxn face.
DOUBLE LP, DIGITAL ALBUM -
found.ee/OnARedThursday
In a songwriting programme piloted by Cypriot label, Louvana Records called Eurotoire, songwriters, producers, and session musicians from ten countries were invited to gather in Cyprus to test their limits, trust strangers, and allow their artistry to merge. Their initial week-long meeting began on a Thursday in June at Studio eleven63 in the island’s capital of Nicosia and blossomed into fifteen demos. After another two writing and recording sessions in July and September, the tracks bloomed into the Eurotoire team members’ fully-fledged album. Now they’re using On A Red Thursday to spread the word about the power of surrendering to creative instinct and collaborating with the unknown. On 13 February, the Louvana Records YouTube channel premiered a short documentary created by all eighteen artists with a single camera shared between them. Clips shot by the artists were edited together by videographer Antonis Pouliasis to depict their journey from complete strangers to collaborators as they untie forces to create an album together.
